Candidates

  1. NSB emblem

    Mei-Lin Okonkwo

    NSB · Nord-Slovaka Bloko

Mei-Lin Okonkwo is a logistics coordinator at Nueva Singapur's container terminal who has lived in Oriente Moderno for twelve years. She grew up in a mixed Cantonese-Nigerian household and has worked across three continents in port operations. She is standing for the Regional Assembly to push back against federal policies she believes hollow out local decision-making in favour of distant Meridian bureaucrats.

    • Restore regional veto power over federal port-tariff increases that harm Nueva Singapur's competitive position.
    • Devolve fisheries-quota decisions to Oriente Moderno's own marine council, not the Federal Assembly.
    • Freeze federal-civil-service hiring in the region until local unemployment falls below 4 per cent.
    • Require Meridian to publish annual cost-benefit analyses of all federal mandates imposed on regional budgets.
  2. MEC emblem

    Amara Okonkwo-Tan

    MEC · Movado Esperanto-Civitana

Amara Okonkwo-Tan is a digital-literacy coordinator at the Federal Translation Centre's Nueva Singapur annex, where she has spent four years helping diaspora citizens navigate online voting and Esperanto-Charter naturalisation. Born in the port district, she worked as a community organiser in the free-trade zone before joining the FTC. She is standing for the Oriente Moderno Regional Assembly to bring diaspora voices into regional governance.

    • Establish a Regional Diaspora Council with formal seats in regional budget debates and port-zone policy.
    • Expand free public WiFi and Esperanto-language digital literacy classes across Nueva Singapur and port towns.
    • Protect FTC staff employment and fund permanent regional translation services for all regional-assembly documents.
    • Reform port-zone business licensing to favour worker-owned cooperatives and diaspora-founded enterprises.
    • Guarantee regional voting rights for all virtual citizens resident in Oriente Moderno for two years or more.
  3. PdU emblem

    Amara Okonkwo-Chen

    PdU · Partio de Unueco

Amara Okonkwo-Chen is a port-logistics coordinator at Nueva Singapur's container terminal and a founding member of the Oriente Moderno Civic Forum. She has spent twelve years in supply-chain management across three continents and serves on the Nueva Singapur Municipal Economic Board. She is standing for the Regional Assembly to bring practical governance to Oriente Moderno's growth and to strengthen federal-regional coordination on trade policy.

    • Establish a Oriente Moderno port-authority liaison office in Meridian to streamline federal shipping-lane negotiations and tariff appeals.
    • Expand vocational training in logistics and container operations for Nueva Singapur's youth, partnering with regional employers.
    • Strengthen cybersecurity standards for port-zone digital infrastructure to protect the region's free-trade-zone operations.
    • Support federal procedural reforms that give regions earlier input into Assembly committees that set trade policy.
  4. FR emblem

    Rajesh Krishnan-Lim

    FR · Federacia Renovigo

Rajesh Krishnan-Lim is a logistics entrepreneur and port-zone administrator from Nueva Singapur's container district. After fifteen years managing supply-chain operations for the free-trade zone's largest shipping consortium, he shifted to regional policy advocacy, focusing on streamlining customs procedures and attracting tech-sector investment to Oriente Moderno's underutilized industrial parks.

    • Reduce port-zone customs clearance from 48 to 24 hours; attract regional tech hubs through tax-neutral investment zones.
    • Modernize Nueva Singapur's aging container-handling infrastructure with public-private partnerships and federal grid access.
    • Establish a regional skills academy for logistics, digital trade, and maritime operations—partnership with Oriente Moderno's universities.
    • Defend the free-trade zone's autonomy against federal over-regulation while strengthening compliance with international standards.
    • Expand coastal-zone fisheries management through data-driven quotas and sustainable-harvest certification for export markets.
  5. LVA emblem

    Priya Nair-Okonkwo

    LVA · La Verda Aliro

Priya Nair-Okonkwo is a marine conservation biologist and co-founder of the Oriente Moderno Mangrove Collective, a network of coastal restoration projects spanning Nueva Singapur's outer islands. After a decade researching tidal-zone resilience at the Federal Translation Centre's Nueva Singapur annex, she stepped into regional politics to defend the archipelago's remaining wetlands from port-expansion schemes.

    • Halt new port-zone expansion in the outer islands; designate the Banyak Wetlands as a protected marine reserve.
    • Establish a regional green-jobs fund for wetland restoration and sustainable aquaculture training in coastal communities.
    • Strengthen Nueva Singapur's waste-water treatment and ban single-use plastics in all regional ports by 2028.
    • Require environmental-impact audits for all port-authority contracts; give regional assembly veto power over federal maritime permits.
    • Create a youth climate council with binding advisory seats on the Regional Assembly's economic committee.
