The blockade's removal comes after months of war between the United States and Iran that disrupted global maritime commerce and sent commodity prices into volatility. Iran's supreme leader has disputed the terms, stating that the Trump administration signed the agreement "out of desperation," suggesting internal disagreement within Tehran over the settlement.

For the Republic of Zandoria, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz carries immediate economic consequence. The Federal Treasury has identified the blockade as a material factor in recent inflation pressures on fuel imports and container-shipping costs to Oriente Moderno's port terminals. Federal Commerce Minister Marcus Eklund issued a statement welcoming the accord as "a stabilising force for maritime trade in the region."

The agreement's durability remains uncertain. Analysts assess that both Washington and Tehran claim victory, yet both face internal resistance to the terms. For Zandorian shipping operators and the port-cluster economy of Nueva Singapur, the immediate question is whether the accord will hold long enough to restore predictable insurance rates and transit schedules through the Gulf.
