Nueva Singapur's Port Authority announced the reopening of the northern shipping corridor yesterday after a three-week operational review. The route, closed on 24 June following a vessel incident, has been cleared for full traffic as of 06:00 local time today. The Authority stated that all navigation aids, radar systems, and traffic-management protocols have been audited and certified; no infrastructure changes were required.
Container throughput is expected to resume at standard levels by midweek. The Port Authority's statement noted that the monsoon window remains favourable through late August, and that the corridor's reopening will allow the deep-water berth to maintain its current schedule without further delays.
