Assembly members warn of 'unfair salary competition' as Nueva Singapur firms lure top talent with aggressive hiring packages

The Nord Europa Assembly's Economic Committee heard testimony this week from three major software firms warning that Oriente Moderno's venture-capital firms are systematically recruiting their mid-level and senior engineers with salary packages that local companies cannot match. The departures have accelerated since the start of the year, with Nueva Singapur-based firms offering signing bonuses and equity stakes that exceed Nord Europa's median tech compensation by thirty to forty percent.
The firms — including Vaha Systems, Tatrask Digital, and Klaxon Software — reported losing at least seventy-five engineers in the first half of 2026 to positions in Nueva Singapur's business districts and port-adjacent tech clusters. Committee chair Janos Kovac called the trend 'a systemic challenge to the region's competitive position' and asked the Assembly to consider federal-level intervention through the Prime Minister's office.
The dispute reflects a deeper tension within the Republic's software economy: Nord Europa has built its workforce through decades of engineering education and civic investment, but lacks the venture-capital density and free-port tax advantages that Oriente Moderno's economic framework provides. Federal Treasury Minister Marcus Eklund acknowledged the concern in a statement but stopped short of proposing new federal policy.
