The funeral of Iran's former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, proceeded in Tehran on Sunday with senior government officials and religious figures in attendance. But the most watched absence was that of Mojtaba Khamenei, the late leader's son, who has not been seen publicly since the military conflict that claimed his father's life at the outset of the wider US-Israel war with Iran.
