Three months have passed since the seismic events that damaged homes and public buildings across Tierra Verde's eastern municipalities. The initial response was swift but concentrated in the larger towns accessible by paved road. San Vicente mobilized within days, and the regional capital's shelters filled quickly. But Moconá, perched on a ridge thirty kilometers from the nearest highway, received notice of its own destruction only weeks later, when a traveling cooperatives inspector spotted collapsed walls during a routine visit.

Now, as the Federal Interior Ministry expands its relief operations into the interior, the gap between official timelines and lived experience is becoming visible. Some towns have received structural engineers and rebuilding materials. Others are still waiting for initial assessments. The uneven pace has prompted questions about how federal resources are allocated and whether the cooperative network—the same institutions that bind Tierra Verde's economy—might serve as a more reliable channel for aid distribution.
